We will reopen Monday, November 26, 2018 under our normal hours.

December 5 – ISO 17025:2017 Update

On Wednesday, December 5, Bass Tool & Gagemaker are sponsoring a one-day overview of the upcoming ISO/IEC 17025 changes.

A2LA staff will lead the course, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Bridging the Gap from 2005 (MS 110). A2LA describes the course as:

This course is a one-day overview of the changes made to ISO/IEC 17025 in its latest revision.  In this course, the participant will become aware of the significant and subtle changes to existing ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory systems, as well as the necessary steps to ensure conformity to the new Standard.

If you are or employ “laboratory management and quality personnel whose organizations currently hold an accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025:2005,” we strongly encourage you or your staff to attend.

Total number of guests is limited to 70. First come, first serve.

0.6 CEU credits will be awarded.

Get Caught Up on the New API 5B 16th Ed. Requirements

Bass Tool & Gagemaker Want to Take You to Lunch

December 6 – API 5B 16th Edition Update Lunch & Learn

On Thursday, December 6, Bass Tool will host a free Gagemaker lunch & learn on the recently released API Specification 5B 16th Edition. The new API 5B has changed the way you will have to inspect starting January 1, 2019.  You need to be aware of all the big changes in the new specification, like new mandatory inspections such as crest diameter, ovality, and addendum.

Gagemaker staff will discuss the new mandates and demonstrate the new gaging techniques and equipment required to be compliant.

The days on the calendar are beginning to run short and we at Gagemaker know many of you are preparing for end of year calibrations. We find that every year more and more calibrations are getting crammed into the final few weeks of the year and that can cause delays.

Regardless of whether you send out your equipment or do it in-house, now is time to plan out your calibrations.
