When threaded parts must meet engineering specifications, the most important factors are accuracy and consistency. Our Thread Diameter Measurement Gages inspect both functional and pitch diameter using precision thread rolls or contact points. These gages surpass the comparative fit of ring and plug gages by reporting precise inspection data.
Both types of gages are very versatile-each gage measures a range of diameters. The full range of internal and external diameters that the thread diameter gages cover is from 5/8″ – 24″. To add even more flexibility, you can change out the thread rolls or the contact points and measure different thread forms with the same gage.
The Thread Diameter Measurement Gages must be preset to a nominal predetermined dimension before inspecting parts. Gagemaker’s Thread Disk for Windows software quickly calculates the setting dimensions after entry of some basic thread information.
Then, the Thread Diameter Gages are easily preset using gage blocks, micrometers, or Gagemaker’s MIC TRAC measurement center. No costly ground threaded setting masters required.
